Daniels Pharmacy joins MPs to launch health campaign in House of Commons
November 2010

Jason Muir from Daniels Pharmacy, South Woodford attended the launch of ‘Ask Your Pharmacist Week’ (8-14 November) in Westminster.  He was joined at the occasion by Health Minister, Lord Howe.

Ask Your Pharmacist Week is organised by the National Pharmacy Association (NPA) to raise public awareness of the range of healthcare services now available in community pharmacies.  Jason Muir said: “I am proud to have represented community pharmacy at this important event. The parliamentarians I met were extremely positive about pharmacy, and I think were impressed by the range of health services on offer to patients. Community pharmacies now provide a wide range of NHS services and the Ask Your Pharmacist initiative is all about keeping the general public up to speed with what is now on offer on their doorstep.”

NPA vice chairman, Bharat Patel said:

“Community pharmacies offer a uniquely accessible healthcare professional workforce, prepared to deliver expert medicines advice and an expanding list of public health services.”

Daniels Pharmacy promotes the NHS' Sexual Health Campaign
1st September 2010

Throughout September 2010, Daniel's Pharmacy is promoting the advice and services the public can get from the pharmacy on sexual health.

Daniel’s Pharmacy has always played an enthusiastic role in public health campaigns. Sexual health is the NHS public health campaign subject for September 2010. Instead of just handing out leaflets, we have got together with Pasante, a leading condom manufacturer, to promote sexual health services. Pasante have provided us with ‘Condom Man’ inflatable condom suits, and we’re giving away free condoms outside of the pharmacy. We’re also promoting our other sexual health services, such as emergency hormonal contraception (‘Morning After Pill’), free condom & lube packs, and urine testing for sexually transmitted infections. Condoms, lube and Chlamydia tests are provided completely free of charge for those under 25.

Daniels Pharmacy celebrates its first year of trading
23rd September 2009

One year ago, Daniel Chen, the pharmacist at Gregory Oliver, took over the business and renamed it Daniels Pharmacy.  Since then, Daniel has undertaken an extensive refit of the Pharmacy at 133 George Lane.

The shop has been in business on George Lane since 1989 and has had its first makeover in over twenty years.  In just three weeks, the store has undergone a major transformation including an increase in space, additional facilities and all new wooden floors, shelving, cabinets, lighting, air conditioning and computer systems.  “Customers have said how posh the shop looks” says Daniel who has been the resident pharmacist for ten years.    “It is now much easier to greet and talk to our customers” he adds.  Customers have always enjoyed the personal and efficient service from Daniel and his team emphasised by the business’ tag line “all about you”.  “The refit has helped to make our products and services even more open and accessible for our customers”, says Daniel.
